Adam Douglas Leeds NORTH EAST
BIOGRAPHY Adam has lived in Leeds for 43 years. Adam is a former member of Her Majesties Forces, who served in the Regular Army and Territorial Army. Adam was wounded in action in 2003 and left permanently disabled. Adam has worked within the community representing people experiencing difficulties with housing, social service matters, neighbourhood policing, anti social behaviour and general public services issues. Adam works for the NHS within disability services, helping to provide much needed long term support for the elderly, the disabled and hospital patients recovering at home. Adam has set up and is the Chair of a newly founded small Charity, The Forgotten Heroes. The Charity is dedicated to providing quality information and support to the Carers of our wounded or injured servicemen and women, whose lives, and their loved ones lives, have changed so dramatically. Adam is a School Governor for the Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre and welcome this new challenge. Adam’s wife Maria works in the Seacroft area where she has been helping local children for the last three years as a School dinner lady and after School club co-ordinator. Adam is committed to representing the interest of Roundhay residents and is campaigning on issues that are high priority to local people. These include better leisure and sports activities for young people, reducing crime and burglary, improvements in services for older people.
